The Empulse R90 electric power drive for manual wheelchairs propels you with ease. It is mounted beneath the wheelchair seat with a sophisticated and intelligent design. Its compact size means it does not affect the wheelchair’s overall dimensions or turning radius.
Easy and Secure Attachment
The V-Lock system is a conical locking mechanism that securely attaches the Empulse R90 to the wheelchair’s camber tube. Combined with the ergonomic handle and the wheel’s vertical orientation, the Empulse R90 electric power drive can be attached to the wheelchair easily and securely.
Experience greater mobility with the Empulse R90, designed to fit most rigid-frame wheelchairs. The durable and lightweight receiver bracket remains attached to the wheelchair, while the Empulse R90 can be easily removed and reattached whenever you wish.

Activation Button
Limited hand strength or dexterity? With the wireless control box of the Empulse R90 power drive, you can turn it on and control the speed with the press of a button. It can be mounted anywhere on your wheelchair’s frame tube and allows you to:
- Raise or lower the wheel at any time.
- Adjust the speed as needed: lower in crowded spaces or higher to keep up with your dog’s pace, with an optional maximum speed of 9 km/h.
- To get moving, simply press the (+) button. You can also manually propel the wheelchair to reach your desired speed and then press the (+) button once to maintain it (cruise control).
Compatible with Most Rigid or Folding Wheelchairs
The Empulse R90 power drive is compatible with most rigid or folding wheelchairs. The receivers do not interfere with the wheelchair’s components, allowing folding wheelchairs to fold normally.
For rigid wheelchairs, the receiver attaches directly to the axle tube and can remain attached whether or not the R90 is mounted on the wheelchair.
For folding wheelchairs, the receiver assembly features a removable and telescopic axle tube for quick installation or removal.

The predefined driving profiles are tailored to specific environments in terms of speed, torque, and slope thresholds.
