JAY Fusion with Cryo™ Technology
JAY Fusion with Cryo™ Technology
2020 Mobility Product Award Winner. Introducing CryoFluid, the revolutionary new liquid option available for the JAY Fusion cushion, designed to reduce the risk of pressure injuries. The patent-pending CryoFluid is now offered alongside the industry-favorite JAY Flow® Fluid, providing more options for skin protection. CryoFluid actively cools the seated skin surface for up to 8 hours* while evenly distributing pressure, reducing shear, and lowering the risk of moisture. Pelvic Loading Area Determined by Common Skeletal Measurements
Pelvic Loading Area Determined by Common Skeletal Measurements
The Fusion cushion’s pelvic loading area width is determined using the average skeletal measurements of pelvic bones for each cushion width. This accommodates the vast majority of users, offering frontal and lateral stability that is easy to modify for proper positioning, along with optimal immersion and weight distribution to protect the skin from injuries.

JAY Flow® Fluid, CryoFluid, or JAY® Air™ Inserts
The Fusion wheelchair cushion can be ordered with JAY Flow Fluid, CryoFluid, or JAY® Air™ inserts. These inserts conform to each individual's shape, adjust to seating positions, and ensure proper fluid placement under bony prominences to help protect the skin from injuries. The fluid pad’s maintenance-free design provides superior performance throughout the cushion’s lifespan. The air insert's air levels can be adjusted in the field to accommodate asymmetrical postures and changing needs.

Innovative Cover Technology
Innovative Cover Technology
For added comfort and protection, the JAY Fusion features a dual-cover system. The waterproof inner cover is easy to clean and includes anti-wicking thread and an Aqua-guard zipper for foam protection. The machine-washable, stretchable outer cover uses naturally antimicrobial, silver-impregnated Ionic+™ fiber. A layer of 3DX spacer fabric promotes airflow for additional skin protection. The Fusion outer cover now includes a handle for easy removal, a zipper flap for a clean look, cascading seams for added comfort, and a QR code on the label for quick access to this webpage.
Multi-Layer Contoured Foam Base
Multi-Layer Contoured Foam Base
The Fusion features a pre-contoured closed-cell foam base that provides lateral and frontal stability and is easy to modify. The pre-contoured high-resilience foam base with a posterior pelvic wall offers pelvis and thigh positioning while reducing fluid migration. The soft, contoured top layer provides additional positioning. Its femoral transition and posterior wall help prevent fluid migration while gently supporting the trochanters and posterior pelvis. Choose the low-profile option to reduce the Fusion’s overall height by ⅝", maintaining a lower seat-to-floor height.
