Electric Tilt, Attendant Control, Toggle Switch
The electric tilt option gives the user more control over their body's position in space and enhances comfort by assisting with sitting tolerance. It provides more independence to participate in daily activities and to engage more with the world and others. Electric tilt is available for IRIS, IRIS Heavy Duty, and SR45. It allows the caregiver to give the user control of the tilt function. The battery indicator is displayed at the top of the control, so you never have to guess when it's time to charge. The attendant control can be conveniently hung anywhere on the chair and can be mounted vertically or horizontally as needed. The charging port is conveniently located on the toggle switch for easy access.
40° or 55° Intelligent Rotation in Space Technology
Intelligent rotation in space technology means that the seat frame rotates around the user’s center of gravity. This results in a smooth tilt motion that is easy to control and allows for the shortest possible wheelbase, which is easy to maneuver. The IRIS manual wheelchair features rotation ranges of 40° or 55° that can be configured to achieve up to 45° or 60° of posterior rotation for superior positioning. The Quickie IRIS now features a new standard weight capacity of 300 lb and a heavy-duty weight capacity of 400 lb.
JAY Lower Extremity Support
The new JAY Lower Extremity Support option is fully integrated into the Quickie IRIS hanger. The swing-in/swing-out latch mechanism design makes switching hangers from the lower extremity support an intuitive process. Available in two pad sizes, the technology allows for vertical and horizontal angle adjustment to provide the proper support for our clients' needs.
MONO Backrest System® Option
The single-post MONO backrest system offers unlimited seating and positioning capabilities. By mounting the backrest on a single central post, the widths of the backrest and chair can be selected independently, hardware interference is eliminated to allow infinite adjustment of lateral thoracic supports, and the backrest can achieve a 2-inch offset from the midline. The MONO backrest system offers an optional dynamic function, 35° angle adjustment, and folds forward for easy transport.
Intuitive Footrest Designs
The new IRIS swing-in/swing-out hanger design features an intuitive bidirectional release lever that follows the movement of your hand. A tapered locking mechanism prevents the hanger from loosening over time. The elevating/articulating footrest includes 2" of height adjustment to better align with the knee joint for natural movement. Audible clicks indicate its position as it elevates. The improved closure mechanism allows for easy switching between swing-in/swing-out hangers and ELR/ALR without additional hardware.
