New J3 Plus Backrest
Specifically designed to address the pelvic and trunk stability needs of bariatric clients, the new
J3 Plus* Backrest features an optional lower toileting cover extension that can rotate to
accommodate redundant tissue, ensuring proper positioning without interference. With a weight
capacity of up to 500 lbs. and widths up to 26", the J3 Plus Backrests are available with 2-point or 4-point FS hardware and feature a 2.2" deep contour for unrestricted movement.

The JAY J3 solid shell is now available in four support height levels, offering support to clients with a wide range of torso heights and injury levels. The addition of five new contour shapes provides lateral and posterior pelvic stability and lateral thoracic stability for clients with various postures and functional needs.
PD Back Now Available in Over 40 Sizes
The most popular 6" deep backrest is now offered in heights ranging from 8" to 24" and widths from 12" to 20". The PD Back provides excellent postural support and midline positioning, while the integrated 7" high curved lateral supports deliver exceptional thoracic stability.
J3 Back Form Support
For individuals requiring a more complex seating solution, the JAY® J3 Form Back Support can be used when an off-the-shelf backrest cannot accommodate a person’s orthopedic asymmetries. Featuring the J3 Back you know and love, the custom mix-and-pour contouring system makes it easy to create a tailored solution to meet your client’s specific needs.
Carbon Fiber Shell
The J3 Back now offers a carbon fiber shell option for the ultimate in lightweight performance. Weighing as little as 2.2 lbs., when paired with RH hardware, the J3 Carbon Fiber Backrest is the perfect addition to any Quickie ultralight wheelchair. The J3 Carbon Fiber Backrest can also be combined with the Freestyle Backrest System, available on the Quickie 7R and 7RS.
