Ensure the numerous benefits of tilt and recline
Tilting allows the user to change position and shift weight from the pelvis to the back, reducing gravitational stress. For children with limited pelvic, thoracic, or head control, this positional change helps reduce the potential for developing postural deviations later in life. Reclining opens the seat-to-back angle, allowing for a change in position or posture. Changing seat angles through tilt and/or recline can assist with feeding, digestion, respiratory function, and visual orientation. The Sphynx recline can be quickly adjusted from 85° to 100° when needed. The Sphynx’s static tilt setting can be adjusted to 10°, 20°, or 30° to better meet the child’s needs.

Adjustable tilt settings of 10°, 20°, and 30° with 85° to 100° recline for optimal positioning included as standard. Adjustable seat depth provides built-in growth of up to 5". Keep up with growing children without the need for replacement parts. The adaptable leg support accommodates growth, changes in lower leg length, or asymmetrical leg lengths. Crash tested and transit approved (meets ANSI/RESNA WC-19).

The most compact folded dimensions in its class! Its transport dimensions (34" x 25.5" x 16.75") are small enough to fit in the trunk space of a standard compact car, and even some suitcases. Weighing only 30 pounds, the Sphynx can be easily lifted in and out of vehicles for maximum portability. Crash tested and transit approved in a motor vehicle (meets ANSI/RESNA WC-19), with a maximum user weight of 250 pounds.
Standard or individually configured seating options
The ZIPPIE Sphynx is available with comfortable standard seating for clients with low clinical needs. Alternatively, the Sphynx can be individually configured using a range of complex rehabilitation components from JAY® and WHITMYER® for clients with more complex seating needs.
