ACCESS Wheelchair
The QUICKIE® ACCESS™ solves multiple seating challenges while allowing clients to self-propel, offering much appreciated independence. Its low seat-to-floor height allows access under tables and desks. It also allows the client to foot propel. If the client is using their hands to propel, the ACCESS tilt provides greater accessibility to the wheels while also promoting a stable and functional posture. Up to 25° of tilt and 50° of recline offers clinically effective pressure relief.

Low Seat-to-Floor Height
Knee-pivot wheelchairs (with pivots at the knee) have very different features compared to center-of-gravity pivot chairs. The forward pivot location allows the knees to remain low during tilting, making foot propulsion easier and providing better clearance under tables for easier social interaction. Even when a thick cushion for pressure relief is needed or larger wheels are preferred, a low seat-to-floor height can be maintained, making it easier to step and propel the wheelchair. Table access can still be achieved while managing pressure.
Seat, Tilt, and Recline
Adjustable tilt and recline provide alternative positions for pressure control, meeting the recommended angles of 25° tilt and 50° recline. This ability to change the wheelchair’s position helps improve trunk posture, enhancing breathing, digestion, and the function of other vital organs. Posterior Tilt: For clients with kyphosis, setting the ACCESS chair at a posterior angle reorients the user’s eyes toward the horizon. This position also allows gravity to help maintain the head and trunk upright and minimizes sliding out of the wheelchair. Anterior Tilt: ACCESS is the only chair with an anterior tilt of -5° for easier standing and transferring. Tilting the wheelchair frame forward allows the user to stand more easily for transfers and pressure management. An anterior angle also offers alternative positioning and can improve functional reach for greater engagement.
Portable
By folding down the backrest and removing the wheels, the ACCESS can be transported in a standard vehicle for medical appointments or family visits. With a transport weight of 32 pounds, the ACCESS can be easily lifted in and out of vehicles for out-of-home access.
Durable Rigid Frame
Quickie ACCESS features a rigid base frame with a solid seat that provides a stable and firm ride. The rigidity allows for greater propulsion efficiency and better maneuverability, meaning users can go further with less fatigue. A rigid frame also requires fewer moving parts that need maintenance or that can loosen over time, which would otherwise demand more effort for propulsion. The strong frame is made of aerospace-grade aluminum for increased resilience and can support up to 300 pounds while remaining lightweight for easy propulsion.
Transit Approved
The QUICKIE ACCESS offers transit-approved tie-downs for safe occupant vehicle travel. The compact base makes transportation easier for everyone involved.
